Laxy Media LLC ("Laxy," "we," "us," "our") operates laxycompany.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Account information: your email address (and, if you sign in with Google, basic profile information such as your name and profile photo).
  • Business idea content: the idea text and any optional context (target customer, budget, etc.) you submit for analysis.
  • Payment information: when you make a purchase, our payment processor Stripe collects your card details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number, expiration date, or CVC — we only receive limited information such as the last four digits, card brand, and transaction status.
  • Communications: any messages you send us (e.g., to hello@laxycompany.com) for support.

Information collected automatically:

  • Usage data: pages visited, features used, number of analyses run, timestamps, and general interaction data.
  • Device and log data: IP address, browser type, device type, and similar technical information, collected for security, abuse prevention (e.g., enforcing free-trial limits), and analytics purposes.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used for authentication (keeping you signed in), remembering preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including generating your Analysis;
  • Process payments and prevent fraud or abuse of free-trial limits;
  • Communicate with you about your account, purchases, or support requests;
  • Improve the quality of our AI prompts, scoring logic, and product based on aggregated, and where possible de-identified, usage patterns;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How Your Business Idea Is Processed

When you submit a business idea, the text you enter (and any optional context) is sent to one or more third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) to generate your Analysis. These providers process this data under their own privacy and data-processing terms. We do not knowingly submit sensitive personal information (such as government ID numbers, health information, or financial account numbers) through this process, and you should avoid including such information in your idea text.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share limited information with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the Service:

  • Stripe — payment processing;
  • Supabase — database hosting, authentication, and backend infrastructure;
  • AI providers (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) — processing idea text to generate Analyses;
  • Analytics providers — understanding aggregate usage of the Service.

These providers are only permitted to use your information as necessary to provide their services to us, under their own applicable privacy and security terms.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and saved Analyses for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (e.g., transaction records) for legal, tax, or accounting purposes.

Analyses generated by anonymous (non-account) users are not saved — as noted in the product, leaving the site without creating an account means that report is not retained.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate information;
  • Request deletion of your personal information;
  • Object to or restrict certain processing;
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

8. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures (including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure infrastructure providers) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
